recycle:
The Bike Station is a community project that repairs and refurbishes donated and discarded bikes. Every year, the Bike Station takes around 40 tonnes of bikes that would otherwise have gone to landfill. Most are repaired and refurbished by staff and volunteers and put back on the road. The rest are dismantled for recycling and spare parts. Refurbished bikes are sold on a weekly basis and others provided to community groups and schools. Bike maintenance and cycle training are also available.
Open for donations Monday - Saturday 10.00am-4.30pm and Wednesday 10.00am-7.00pm. Open for sales Saturdays 10.30am-4.30pm, children's bikes Fridays 2.00pm-4.00pm. A collection service is available (donations welcome).
