The Bike Station is Edinburgh's bicycle recycling and cycling promotion charity. They repair unwanted bikes and put them back on the road, provide bike maintenance training, and refurbish bikes to promote cycling as a healthy and sustainable means of transport across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Donations: Mon-Sat 10:30-4:30 (until 8pm Wed); Sales: Sat 10:30-4:30, Fri 10.30-4.30 for children's bikes. A collection service is available.
If you live in East Lothian you can take your old bike to the Community Recycling Centres at Kinwegar or North Berwick and The Bike Station will collect from there. See Community Recycling Centres East Lothian.

The Community Inclusion Team at West Lothian Council repair and refurbish bicycles for donation to community groups and schools. Bikes can be taken to the West Lothian Community Recycling Centres (See Community Recycling Centres West Lothian) or to the following address:

Reiver Industries accepts bikes and will refurbish them to give to charities locally and overseas. Collections available from central Borders areas.
