Edinburgh Furniture Initiative (EFI) also run Reuse Cabins situated at the Edinburgh Community Recycling Centres for the donation of reusable household items. Recycling First Warehouse, accepts and sells furniture and white goods (no carpets or gas items). A collection service is available.

Office furniture

The Business Environment Partnership manage a free furniture exchange website to facilitate the reuse and recycling of second hand office furniture and equipment throughout Scotland:

Green-Works provides high quality, low cost office furniture to the voluntary sector, businesses and the general public. Donated by large corporate and government bodies the redundant furniture, which ranges from desks and chairs to filing cabinets, is diverted from landfill, helping to protect the environment.
