Egg Boxes

Reuse:

Add scrunched up card egg boxes to compost bins/heaps as this will create air pockets and help with decomposition.

Use boxes for planting seeds. Plant out individual sections containing the seedlings and the card will rot away.

Recycle:

Cardboard egg boxes can be recycled with card. See CARD/CARDBOARD.

Environmental Suggestion:

Buy eggs in cardboard packaging rather than expanded polystyrene as this material is not recyclable or compostable.

Avoid:

Please do not put into Paper Points. The cardboard fibres cannot be recycled into paper.
