recycle:

Cardboard egg boxes can be recycled with card. See CARD/CARDBOARD.

Card egg boxes can be composted if ripped into small pieces and can also be used to plant seed in. Plant out individual sections containing the seedlings and the card will rot away.

suggest:

Buy eggs in cardboard packaging rather than expanded polystyrene, which doesn't biodegrade easily.

avoid:

Please do not put into Paper Points. The cardboard fibres cannot be recycled into paper.
