Pass IT On is a Scottish charity which accepts donations of computers and IT equipment. The donated materials are adapted and given, usually free of charge, to people with disabilities in Edinburgh and surrounding areas (EH postcodes). In particular they are looking for PCs (Pentium 1.3 GHZ or faster); working laser printers or colour deskjet printers; monitors (17' or larger or any sizes TFT) and licensed software. WEEEP accepts computers for disposal for a small charge. Computers will be stripped for spares first then recycled in Scotland. WEEEP provide a data destruction service to completely wipe all data from the hard disk drive or just simply destroy the hard disk, and will recycle equipment according to the WEEE Directive. A mobile PC repair service is also available for a small charge.
