suggest:
Buy a live tree that can be planted out after Christmas and reused each year. If your tree doesn't have roots to do this, it can be shredded and composted.
recycle:
Take to any of the Community Recycling Centres and placed into the Garden Waste/Green Waste containers. See COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRES. The trees will be shredded and composted.
Edinburgh: For those with a brown bin service, place into your bin for collection.
East Lothian: Can be put beside brown bins on your regular garden waste collection day or booked a collection via the garden waste collection: Tel: 01620 827 215.
Midlothian: For those with a brown bin service, place into your bin for collection.
