Mattresses in good condition are accepted by some charities and reuse projects. Check with your local shop or project. See CHARITY SHOPS, the Edinburgh Charity Shop and Reuse Map on the Changeworks website or request a copy:

Recycle:

Mattresses are accepted at the three Edinburgh Community Recycling Centres. See COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRES and are also recycled if you use Edinburgh Council's Special Uplift Service (there is likely to be a charge for this service).
